Welcome to My Period & I
So why are we here?

Okay, Now Letโs Be Serious.
We are living in a world that silences menstruation. Condemns it, vilifies it, calls it dirty.
Yet, itโs the one thing that secures new life. The very thing that ensures humanity continues is treated like itโs something to hide.
Let that sink in. The thing that is a by-product of menstruation wants you to feel shame for having it.
But thatโs not why weโre here. We are not here to continue the condemnation.
Weโre here to stay informed. To talk. To laugh. To unlearn and relearn. To be real.
Every Period Experience is Different
Letโs get one thing straight: thereโs no one-size-fits-all period story.
Your cramps are not my cramps.
Your flow isnโt my flow.
Even your own period can change its tune from one season to the next.
Case in point:
Once upon a time, my period announced its arrival with diarrhea.
Now? Intense constipation. And suddenly… I miss the days of old.
Weโre Also Here to Bust Myths
Weโre aspiring period myth-busters.
Because yes, someone once asked me if itโs true that some women bleed from their palms. The palms of their hands!
Absurd? Maybe.
But hereโs the thing: weโre all doing life for the first time.
Some of us are new here, and even the ones whoโve been around for a while?
We still donโt know everything.
Period education hasnโt exactly been front and center. So letโs extend grace, stay curious, and build a space where no question is too naive, too weird, too gross, or too “out there.”
This is a Judgment-Free Zone.
Whether you use tampons or pads, bleed for three days or ten, love your period or dread it, youโre welcome here!
Weโre Just Girls Figuring It Out
Thatโs really what My Period & I is about.
Girls (and anyone whoโs curious) figuring out their bodies in every phase:
Pre-menstrual. Menstrual. Post-menstrual. Perimenopausal. Menopausal.
With hormones raging (or ghosting), moods swinging, bodies changing, excruciatingly painful cramps and symptoms that donโt always follow a script, weโre trying to make sense of it all.
Together.
Welcome to the space. Stay a while. Ask questions. Share stories. Cry. Laugh. Learn. And remind yourself youโre not alone in this.
Weโve got cramps.
Weโve got heat pads.
Weโve got each other
